About Luke “Ming” Flanagan

I am married with two children and live in Castlerea co. Roscommon.
I was elected as a Teachta Dála for the Roscommon-South Leitrim constituency at the 2011 general election.
I was previously Mayor of County Roscommon.
I am now involved in politics since 1997 when I contested my first General Election in the Galway West constituency where I polled 548 first preference votes.
I have since contested a European Election and another General Election along with two Local Elections.
In 2004 I was elected to Roscommon County council when I topped the poll in the Castlerea Electoral Area with 1050 first preference votes.
I was re-elected again in 2009 when I increased my vote by 50% to 1556 first preference votes.
